This role involves regular stock assessments, reconciling physical counts with system records, and implementing control procedures to prevent stockouts and overstock situations. You will collaborate with various departments to understand stock requirements, ensure timely processing of purchase orders, and manage order fulfilment to guarantee on-time deliveries. Accurate and up-to-date record-keeping using inventory management software is essential, and you will generate reports on stock levels, turnover rates, and other relevant metrics for management review. Quality control is also a key aspect, requiring periodic checks on incoming and outgoing stock to ensure compliance with standards and reporting any discrepancies. Effective communication and coordination with suppliers and internal teams are crucial for managing stock replenishment and resolving supply chain issues.
