Job DescriptionHR Partner is pleased to assist its client, COWEN Reinsurance S.A. in their efforts to find aTechnical Accountant Officer (m/f)CDI, full-time (part-time possible)About the companyCOWEN Re is a fast-growing commercial Reinsurance company located in Luxembourg City. The company currently has about 15 people and is looking for his/her new technical accountant officer to join the technical accounting department. The Reinsurance company is part of an international banking group.Main missionUnder the direct supervision of the Technical Accountant Manager and the Chief financial Officer, the Technical Accountant Officer assists in all activities related to the reinsurance accounting and Technical reporting.As a Technical Accountant Offier you will work closely with the underwriting team to ensure that all technical data sourced from insurance intermediaries is complete and accurate and processed in a timely manner.You will analyze financial implications of existing and potential reinsurance contracts based mainly on surety, financial loss, property and liability risks from Europe and North America.You will contribute to the production of regular reinsurance performance reports to help the management in their decision making and will be involved in the production of reports required under Lux GAAP and Solvency II.Requirements for the positionBackground and technical skills:Minimum bac +3/ college degree (or equivalent) with additionnal professional qualification or training in accountingExperience of minimum 5 years in Luxembourg based company as an accountant with good knowledge of Lux GAAP accounting principles.An experience of 2-3 years in a similar function within an insurance or reinsurance company in a country subject to the Solvency II Directive or equivalent regulatory legislation, is reommanded.
