Which is where you join the journey.WHAT TO EXPECT:JLR has a great opportunity for an individual who is passionate about technology and making a change through leadership!The role will be responsible for identifying and delivering, innovative and technology driven solutions, to manufacturing problems.Working closely with our internal JLR teams such as Forward Planning, IT, Paint, BIW, Logistics & Stampings, as well as external organisations and academic institutions, to manage the delivery of technology projects in support of JLRs key performance indicators. You will define the budgetary requirements and coordinate stakeholders, to ensure that the Trim & Final technology roadmap is delivered in accordance with the respective project milestones.Please note that due to the nature of the role, the ability to travel within the UK and internationally is a requirement.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:Ensuring that all new technology opportunities are robustly evaluated at key stages during the technology creation and management processContribute to the creation of Advanced Technology strategy and Business plans, including the creation, development and approval of Manufacturing Engineering Technology roadmapsDevelop internal and external networks and become a primary new technology interface for Product Development, research and academic organisationsLiaise with Academic, Research and Technology organizations in order to gather information on potential new technologies for evaluation and to create and maintain business partnerships where appropriateDuring and following a technology project, will liaise with the relevant stakeholders to identify the optimum method of increasing corporate learning, skills and competenceWHAT YOU'LL NEED:Experience of collaborative working with internal and external partners, to deliver business prioritiesMust be able to demonstrate a clear and concise ability to communicate, using methods appropriate for the intended audienceExperience in delivering successful projects with adherence to a governance processAbility to prioritise the delivery of business objectives, while balancing cost, time, resource & risksSO WHY US?Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you'll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme.
