Job DescriptionExperienced Engineering Technician required to work for Global manufacturer at their Plymouth based site. As part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team, the successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and optimising our production processes, collaborate with engineers, lead training efforts, and drive operational improvements.If you would like to work for a company that will offer you a career path & fantastic benefits package then look no further!Please note, Candidates who apply for this position must have the immediate right to work in the UK.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for set-up and maintenance of all Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Mechanical systems on equipment used in the production process.Work directly with the engineering group to monitor and improve processes for output and waste levels.Provide leadership, training and Engineering expertise for staff on the production floor.Responsible for providing leadership and ownership of process performance issues as well as proactively driving operational improvements.Coordinate preventative maintenance activities (PPM) to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner that meets the demands of production planning.Assist in identifying improvements to existing equipment that lead to H&S improvements, cost reductions, increased productivity or quality improvements.Essential Qualifications, Experience and Candidate Attributes Required:Minimum of a HNC or HND in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.Proven experience working as an Engineering Technician / Maintenance Engineer within Manufacturing, ideally with high speed automated production lines.Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of PLC operations, Robotics, Maintenance, Programming and the ability to read schematics or machining, tooling design, tooling assembly, part drawings and pneumatic schematics.Working knowledge of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic equipment and the ability to recognise, define and correct equipment deficiencies in a timely fashion, coupled with proficient skills in Electrical Industrial systems.The ability to interpret and undertake fault finding using ladder logic on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) ladder logic.The ability to comprehend and adhere to specifications, procedures and requirements both written and verbal coupled with excellent verbal communication skills.Benefits Package on offer:Private Medical Insurance.Life assurance and critical illness cover.Matched contribution Pension scheme up to 10% of salary.Share save scheme - matched up to £150 per month.Reward & recognition scheme linked to Health and Safety and Continuous Improvement.Employee Assistance Program, supporting physical, mental and financial wellbeing.Flexible benefits including cycle to work scheme.Subsidised canteen.Free on-site car parking.24 days holiday + 8 statuatory Bank Holidays per year (rising to 25 days holiday + 8 days BH after 5 years of service).This is a day shift position working Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:30If you have the Qualifications & Experience listed aboveand are currently looking for a new challenge, then please submit an up to date CV by using the 'apply' button below.For an informal chat, please phone 01752 252533 and ask for Samantha Luxton.
