Be part of a forward-thinking organisation that is committed to continuous improvement and professional development.About the RoleAs an Aquatic Education Teacher for Glen Eira Leisure, you will conduct swimming lessons for one of two School groups:School intensive programs run Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 3:00pm during school terms; orLearn to Swim lessons run Monday to Friday in the mornings and after school as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings.What will you bring?A passion for fostering the self-esteem of children, boosting their confidence, and delivering expert swimming and water safety guidance within an enjoyable, secure, and supportive setting.You will also haveA fun and positive demeanour that resonates with childrenThe ability to work in a team and help foster team goalsWell-developed supervision skills and customer service skillsYour focus will be for swimming lessons to be the highlight of every child's day!Other requirements include:Current Austswim Certificate of Swimming and Water Safety OR Swim Australia Teacher (SAT) OR LSV Swimming and Water SafetyAustswim or Swim Australia Extension Certificates/Coaching Qualifications (desirable)CPR Qualification [HLTAID009]Employee Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)Provide First Aid certificate [HLTAID011] (desirable)Pre-employment checksProgressed candidates must undergo pre-employment screening as a standard procedure which will include:Providing a Employee Working with Children CheckCompleting a new National Police Record CheckUndergoing Pre-employment medical assessmentProviding evidence of right to work in Australia.Pre-employment checks are not used by Glen Eira City Council to prevent any applicant from applying for this position.
