The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network infrastructure, Cisco hardware, and network security principles. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network environments across various platforms including datacenter, core, and cloud networks. Your expertise in firewall configuration, specifically with Checkpoint Security Firewall, will be crucial in ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our network systems.Key Responsibilities: * Design, deploy, and maintain secure network architectures, including datacenter, core, and cloud networks.Configure and troubleshoot Cisco hardware and network devices to ensure optimal performance and security.Implement and manage firewall policies, particularly with Checkpoint Security Firewall, to safeguard against unauthorized access and cyber threats.Develop and implement network macro-segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies to enhance network security and reduce attack surface.Accustomed with tools such as Illumio for application micro-segmentation, ensuring granular control over network traffic and access.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate VPN solutions and facilitate secure remote access to network resources.Stay current with industry trends and best practices in network security, continually assessing and enhancing our network defenses.Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, Information Technology, or related field.Years of experience in network security roles.Proficiency in network configuration and troubleshooting, particularly with Cisco hardware.Extensive experience with firewall configuration, specifically with Checkpoint Security Firewall.Solid understanding of network macro-segmentation and micro-segmentation principles.
