In this role you will develop from a novice practitioner to a proficient level of professional practice and consolidate knowledge and skills, developing in capability through continuous professional development and experience. As a Registered Midwife you will accept accountability for your own standards of nursing care and for activities delegated to others.As a Clinical Midwife you will provide nursing and/or midwifery services in a variety of health service settings which has been consolidated by experience and/or further study, developing from a competent to proficient practitioner. In this role you will accept accountability for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff. The Clinical Midwife role continues to be predominantly clinical in nature, however employees are assigned appropriate portfolios.To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, OR registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse and Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time.
