The Registered Midwife will assess, plan, implement and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with key stakeholders and the multi-disciplinary team.ESSENTIAL:Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered MidwifeMinimum two years’ relevant post registration qualifications/experienceDemonstrated experience working in the postnatal midwifery settingDemonstrated cultural awareness and understandingDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a supportive teamDemonstrated ability to advocate for and implement individualised patient-centred care.Demonstrated professional manner when involved in emergency situationsAdvanced communication skills and willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary teamFlexibility of seven-day, rotating roster.DESIRED:Demonstrated experience in antenatal midwifery setting.Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality improvement initiatives or willingness to learn and be involved.Experience in Private Health CareIBCLC (Lactation) certificate, working toward or desire to completeWillingness to be involved in quality projects to continuously improve the care we deliver.ABOUT MATER HOSPITALThe Mater Hospital is regarded as one of Sydney’s premier private hospitals, located in North Sydney, with expertise in a range of areas including Maternity, Orthopaedics, Cardiology and Cancer care.
