In this role, you will assist the Design team, providing daily support to each designer across all areas of the design process. Ideal for recent graduates or those seeking their first job in the design/apparel industry, this position offers comprehensive exposure and hands-on experience in every part of the design and creative process.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProviding Tech Pack support, creating Tech Packs, and managing Tech Pack upkeep on the PLM systemPLM admin inc. print, colour, fabric, and component responsibilities. Ensuring the system is up to date and prepped in advance of Tech Pack productionSupporting the team by ensuring the in-house fabric libraries are up-to-date and categorisedOverseeing design deliveries, ensuring post is accounted for and distributed to correct designer. Arrange regular postal collectionsOversee the Visual Range Plans ensuring all are up to date with correct product, colour, and informationPossible assisting with designing productCreative direction support with mood and colour researchHelp with product and trend research within marketplaceGeneral upkeep and assist running of design studioAd hoc requests from the Head of Design and Senior Design ManagerRequirementsWHAT YOU’LL BRING TO FINISTERREA positive can-do attitudeRelevant aspiration and interest in being part of a multi-channel retail businessDesign experience/training either through school or work experienceAbility to thrive in a fast-moving creative environmentPassion, energy and aspiration in line with Finisterre brand values, products and customersStrong self-awareness, communication, networking and interpersonal skillsTo constantly strive for improvements in approaches, processes & performanceTo be resourceful, creative and flexibleKnowledge of Adobe SuiteThoroughness and attention to detailA strong commitment to learning about the key skills, deliverables and challenges of the design process, and to delivering continuous improvement.Willingness to own and drive your personal development plan and open to asking for and accepting feedback on performance.The ability to be self-motivated and to work in a teamThrives on positive change and able to manage self under pressure.Commitment to inclusivity and sustainability, and social and environmental sustainabilityExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a teamImportant: The successful candidate must, by the start of their employment, have permission to work in the UK.
