Staff will also be required to cover bank holidays on a rota basis. Flexibility in working hours and overtime will be required to be worked at short notice during peak business demands during the week and at the weekend.Training hours will be Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00 or 09:00 - 17:00We are seeking a junior analyst to work within our fast-paced water microbiology department, the main duties for this role will include:Preparation of media (agars etc.) to be used in microbiological analysis.Sample preparation in line with company protocols.Microbiological analysis of water samples.Training and operation of relevant equipment.General housekeeping of laboratory and prevention of cross contamination.Accurate Data entry into laboratory database.Accurate record-keeping associated with UKAS quality systemReport any anomalous results or situations to Laboratory Supervisor.Health and Safety procedures are adhered to within the laboratory.QualificationsA level in a science related subject (preferably Biology)GCSE English and Mathematics and Science or equivalentComputer literate with experience of MS Office applications (in particular Excel)Comfortable working in a busy environmentExcellent organisational skills with the ability to work quickly and accuratelyAbility to work on own initiative as well as part of a teamAdditional InformationBenefitsAt Eurofins we are growing, innovating and always learning.
