(pro rata) - AHP2 - Ongoing Full-Time or Part-Time (Multiple Positions)About the Role:An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Physiotherapist within the Acute Frailty Unit.The Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Division are opening an Acute Frailty Unit at Lyell McEwin Hospital which will provide a comprehensive geriatrics assessment in a short-stay setting for patients requiring acute in-patient admission, with direct flow through to geriatrics subacute and out-of-hospital services.The dedicated multi-disciplinary team within the Acute Frailty Unit will focus on early assessment and decision making, offering a hub of expertise and leadership in geriatrics and provide education for staff in the care of older persons.As a Physiotherapist you will be accountable for the provision of geriatric assessment and treatment services aimed at optimising health outcomes. In this role you may rotate through a series of clinical services.Physiotherapists apply clinical experience, increasing clinical knowledge and professional competence to plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive and integrated services to the needs of clients of the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network. In this role you will work under limited direct clinical supervision and may provide direction and support to less experience therapists, allied health assistants and students.In this role you will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team and liaise directly with medical, nursing staff of NALHN and with other community agencies.To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.About You:Are you a dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic Physiotherapist looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic, growing healthcare network where you will be part of a supportive team delivering high quality care to the community?
