We are building an exciting and fast paced company passionate about discovering and developing tomorrow’s most innovative cancer therapies.Salary Range: CAD$ 135K - 175KPlease include a cover letter when you apply\Principal ResponsibilitiesScientific lead for in vivo pharmacology, PK/BD and toxicology studies.Lead preclinical studies in-house and at contract research organizations (CROs) to support candidate selection and advance development programs and platform innovation.Mentor and train team members in the pharmacology group.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide scientific input and design, execute, and interpret studies.Write and review study protocols and reports, analyze results, present findings, and contribute to authoring manuscripts and regulatory filings.Identify and implement new pharmacology models, technologies, and strategies to develop targeted cancer radiotherapies.Qualifications, Education & ExperiencePhD in Pharmacology, Oncology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Toxicology or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of industry experience in preclinical drug discovery and developmentSkills & AbilitiesDemonstrated advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in relevant in vivo oncology/pharmacology models.Prior experience conducting in vivo studies with CROs, IND-enabling studies and supporting IND submissions.R&D experience with antibody-based therapeutics, radiopharmaceuticals and in vivo imaging studies is an asset.Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and develop effective relationships with key partners.Proven ability to lead and manage concurrent deliverables in a fast-paced, milestone-driven environment.Experience with supervising and mentoring research staff.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Abdera is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
