Azure Arc connects the rest of the world's computing power to Azure. As Azure Arc team, we extend Azure’s cloud capabilities to on-premises, multi-cloud, and edge environments, simplifying the management of servers and Kubernetes environments. By projecting servers and Kubernetes clusters into Azure Resource Manager, customers can easily manage configurations and applications, enable monitoring and security, and deploy 1st and 3rd party applications.As a Software Engineer II, you will work on designing, coding, validating, shipping, and running high scale services. You will contribute to all aspects of the stack, from agents running on servers and Kubernetes clusters to high-scale, globally distributed cloud services. You will integrate with other Azure services and create solutions using C#, Go, Kubernetes, Linux, Windows Server, and open-source technologies.You will have ownership of features, including design, code, testing, and telemetry coverage. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.Role can be based in either Sydney or MelbourneResponsibilities:Contributes to the design of large-scale distributed software services and solutions.Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for scenarios, develops design documents and drives projects.Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to establish and improve performance, maintainability and reliability of our services and components.Participates in Livesite operations with emphasis on timely response, delivery & customer satisfaction.Builds automation to identify, prevent and remediate service issues.Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to latest trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, scalability, observability, and performance of the product.Shares knowledge with colleagues via code and design reviews.Qualifications:Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND minimum 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Go, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonMinimum 2+ years of experience developing, deploying, monitoring, and shipping scalable cloud services.Minimum 2+ years of experience with containers and KubernetesGood principles of software design and architectureGrowth mindset, passion for new technologies, high levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent communication and teamwork skillsWe are looking for engineers who have talent, enthusiasm, integrity and resourcefulness, and who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
