This individual will work with the team to ensure we continue to innovate and strengthen relationships with our carrier partners, brokers, and insureds. Actual job title and salary will be based on experience and skill set.Responsibilities and Duties:Data Analysis and Pricing Strategy:Analyze historical pricing data, market trends, and competitive pricing strategies to recommend optimal pricing strategies using mathematics, probability, statistics, and financial expertise to calculate insurance metrics and services.Assist in developing and implementing pricing models and methodologies to maximize profitability and market share.Conduct pricing simulations and sensitivity analyses to evaluate pricing scenarios and their impact on business outcomes.Develop assumptions appropriate for the marketplace.Capable of claims data analysis using existing SQL queries and the ability to build their own queries.Assist in various quantitative projects involving claims and/or financial modeling applied to insurance.Market Research and Competitive Analysis:Monitor industry trends, customer behavior, and competitor pricing strategies to identify market opportunities, threats and future of transactional underwriting and predictive analyticsGather and analyze data from various sources to support pricing decisions and strategy adjustments.Prepare competitive intelligence reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.Performance Tracking and Reporting:Track and monitor pricing performance metrics, including pricing effectiveness, profit analysis, and price realization.Prepare regular reports and presentations on pricing trends, profitability analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.Produce prospective expected loss ratio (ELR).Identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable insights based on data-driven analysis.Cat Modelling:Provide analysis of Cat management and performanceProvide risk-return analysisCross-functional Collaboration:Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and product management teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives.Support sales teams with pricing proposals, deal analysis, and customer negotiations.Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance pricing capabilities and effectiveness.Process Improvement and Automation:Identify opportunities to streamline pricing processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance pricing analytics capabilities.Work with IT and operations teams to implement pricing tools, systems, and automation solutions.Document pricing policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance.Compensation:$100,000-$135,000 DOEQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field3+ years of property/casualty actuarial work or related experience involving rate adequacy analysis and claims data analysis.Proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools for data manipulation, modeling, and reporting.Proficiency in SQL, R, or a similar programming language is preferred to extract data.Proficiency in creating exhibits for presentations.Familiarity with standard P&C actuarial methods and concepts for pricingWorking knowledge of insurance business concepts and economicsEmploys excellent verbal and written communication skills.Background checks, including criminal record checks, employment verification, and education verification, are required.Benefits Offered:HealthCIBA offers its employees a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
