Do you like working with your hands and enjoy a challenge?About the role:We are seeking applicants who are genuinely interested in training as a Weighbridge Operator located at Kalamia Mill.The Weighbridge Operator is responsible for the correct weighing of all cane entering the weighbridge and data entry from the consignment information. This position is also responsible for safe operation of fixed plant located in the weighbridge via the use of Citec. You will be tasked with assisting in scheduled cleans of the weighbridge to ensure accuracy of weighing, working in confined spaces and maintaining records of scheduled weighbridge test weights.This training position is more than just a job - it is an educational experience and the start of an exciting and rewarding career. You will enjoy hands on training, with a variety of tasks and exposure to some of the challenges that come with producing Raw Sugar. The aim of this fixed term contract is to gain valuable job knowledge and become experienced in our operational teams.These roles require shift work during the crushing season, which includes weekends, night shifts, and overtime as required (paid at penalty rates). The Operator in Training is a fixed term position for the 2024 production season which runs from June to late November.The OpportunityPrevious experience is not essential as we will provide all training to be successful in this role, including Confined Space, Working at Heights and other courses pertinent to the responsibilities of the position, including Operator Station competencies.
