The IT Service Area is located within the Information Services Division and consists of three teams: Portfolio, Policy and Architecture Team, Program and Solutions Development and Delivery Team and IT Operations Team. You will be part of the IT Operations Team, which provides IT support to the Parliamentary Service,About the Role:This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by:Providing Exceptional Support: Assist customers with their ICT issues, delivering top-notch basic (L1) to intermediate (L2) technical support and ensuring their needs are met efficiently.Enhancing Customer Experience: Triage and escalate issues for higher-level technical support, identify and pre-empt emerging problems, and follow up with customers to minimize disruptions and enhance their experience.Maintaining Accuracy: Complete all necessary administrative processes and system documentation, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.Efficient Issue Management: Record and update all issues in ServiceNow promptly, from the initial registration of the issue/fault through to its resolution.What we're looking for:Technical Support Experience: You have a proven track record in providing basic (L1) to intermediate (L2) technical support and resolving issues for customers, ensuring timely and responsive service with a focus on a positive customer experience.Strong Communication Skills: You excel in both oral and written communication, effectively engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders using appropriate language and style.Attention to Detail and Confidentiality: You maintain a high level of attention to detail and are aware of the importance of confidentiality in your work.Teamwork and Independence: You can work effectively both as part of a team and independently, managing pressure and meeting tight, non-negotiable deadlines.Process Improvement: You contribute to the development, implementation, and enhancement of operational processes, policies, and standards.Vendor and Supplier Management: You are capable of overseeing tasks assigned to vendors, suppliers, and other agencies, engaging with them constructively as needed.If you are interested in this role, please submit a cover letter, resume and a suitability statement (no more than 2 pages) addressing the experience, skills, knowledge and abilities outlined in the applications section of the position description.
