Full Job DescriptionAre you looking for a new and exciting role? Are you a qualified Nursery Practitioner? We are recruiting for an experienced 3rd in Charge/Room Leader to join our nursery in Eastcote. Located next to the shops on Field End Road, our nursery is just an 8-minute walk from Eastcote station, with a bus stop only a minute away, making us easily accessible via public transport.Position Details:- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with a variety of shifts between 7:30am-6pm.- Salary: £28,350 - £34,070 dependent on experience.About Us:- Established our Northwood branch in July 2019 and expanded twice since then.- Eastcote is our second branch.- We offer in-house training and support for further courses to enhance staff knowledge.- Significant room for career progression with a focus on upskilling our team.- Our beautiful building has 5 classrooms across 2 floors.- We use the user-friendly nursery app 'Blossom Educational' to enhance efficiency and organization.What We Offer:- Up to 31 days holiday per year including bank holidays.- One extra day’s holiday per year of service.- Additional holiday for your birthday.- 5 paid sick days per year after 1 year of service.- Employee of the month reward.- Christmas bonus.- Pension scheme.- Free uniform.- Three paid staff inset days per year.- Opportunities for further courses and qualifications, paid for by Blossom Tree.- Complimentary team-building activities and staff events.- Staff childcare discount.- Paid DBS, with a requirement to pay £13 annually for the Update Service.A Typical Day Includes:- Working as part of a team to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently.- Supporting the Nursery Manager.- Caring for all children and ensuring their personal and hygiene needs are met daily.- Ensuring the children are happy, settled, and content.- Observing, assessing, and planning for the children’s individual needs, ensuring their development is continuously monitored and creating opportunities for children to progress.- Keeping up to date with legislation in early education and ensuring all paperwork complies with EYFS and Ofsted requirements.- Familiarizing yourself with the nursery's policies and procedures and working within these.- Leading a team, encouraging and raising practice daily.- Delegating tasks to ensure the smooth running of the room.- Sharing creative ideas and involving your team in classroom decision-making.- Forming professional and friendly partnerships with parents and securing bonds with the children.- Using our nursery app 'Blossom Educational' (training provided).What We Ask From You:- A full and relevant Level 3 Qualification in Early Years is essential for this role.- Previous experience working in an Early Years setting in a Room Leader position.- Knowledge of the current EYFS.- Sound knowledge of child protection procedures.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Passion, motivation, and the ability to work well within a team.- Adaptability to a fun and inspiring working environment.- Good ICT skills.- A current and clean Disclosure Barring Services (DBS) Certificate.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:- Additional leave- Childcare- Company events- Company pension- Referral programme- Sick paySchedule:- 8 hour shift- Day shift- Monday to Friday- No weekendsSchool Type: Day nurseryWork Location: In personIf you are an experienced and enthusiastic Room Leader ready to take on a new challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
