Job Description:Discover yourself in Lewisham where what you do makes a difference to our vibrant and culturally diverse communities !We have a rich history of welcoming people from all over the world and are proud to be recognised as the UK's first Borough of Sanctuary, for our work in championing the rights of refugees and migrantAdult Learning Lewisham is Looking for a Talented Part Time Tutor for Jewellery Design and Make to Help Enrich the Lives of our Learners.The roleAdult Learning Lewisham requires a tutor with subject specialism in jewellery design and make techniques with a minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching adults including industry experience.LocationGranville Park CentreWhat we're looking forThe candidate must have experience and be confident in traditional and contemporary jewellery making:stone and bezel or flush settingetching and photoetchingwork in metal with copper, silver and or goldexploratory wireworksawing, filing, sanding, drilling, texturing, forging, sanding, piercing, creating rings, bracelets, brooches, pendants, polishing and finishingmetal clay techniquesRhino 3D, computer aided designCOSHH including Health & Safety in a workshop environmentworking as a team and enabling the learners' work to be displayed at various venuessharing knowledge and teaching skills with peers.Classes take place on Wednesday evenings during term time with some additional hours available during non - term dates.We are looking for a reliable conscientious and dedicated tutor who preferably has experience of working in an adult environment and has qualification to at least level 4 as well as having or be willing to work towards achieving a recognised teaching qualification (e.g.Cert Ed/PGCE).
