Client: Well-known Educational InstitutionRole: Accounting ManagerSalary: $100,000 - $130,000/annually + BenefitsLocation: Upper West Side, Manhattan - Near Columbus Circle - *5-days a week onsite*Responsibilities: *CPA Certification Preferred*Ensuring timely and accurate completion of the close process and ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements;Responsibility of maintaining the daily flow of financial information to achieve timely and efficient achievements of close and post deliverables including P&L reviews, commentary, various analysis, schedules, and reporting;Reviewing account reconciliations for multiple accounts including, but not limited to investments, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, pledge receivables, accrued expenses, bank reconditions, miscellaneous accounts receivables, and payable;Assisting the Controller to ensure accuracy and timeliness of income statements, balance sheets & other financial reports;Supporting the CFO and Controller in developing and improving controls, policies and processes as needed;Working closely with the Controller to assist with field work for the annual audit process and work with the finance team to address selections and resolutions;Researching technical accounting issues;Ensuring cardholders submit Concur reports in a timely and accurate manner on a monthly basis to reconcile to the statement;Managing credit card orders and Concur training as necessary;Preparing budget reports and compiling requests into a consolidated file for leadership to review;Working with controller to prepare various tax forms, financial data such as various surveys and statistics for CFO approval;Assisting with CFO and Controller on helping to ensure that new financial systems are moving forward and helping to ensure a smooth roll out;Other projects, tasks and duties as assigned.Vaco
