The primary responsibilities include analyzing, interpreting, and reporting operational and quality data on both a routine and ad hoc basis. This role supports various areas such as Environmental Services, Patient Transportation, Linen, Nutrition Services, Facilities & Building Maintenance, Energy & Sustainability, and Leasing. Additionally, the analyst benchmarks best practices for operational, clinical, and quality measures. They prepare presentations, briefing notes, meeting minutes, and literature reviews, and work on special projects. The analyst also performs cross-functional duties as assigned or requested, ensuring comprehensive support for the FMPRO Operations.Primary DutiesPerform data analysis, interpretation, and reporting for management decision-making.Maintain accurate documentation of processes while designing and developing dashboards and scorecards.Prepare ad hoc reports, presentations, and briefing notes.Develop knowledge of performance measurement, quality management, and best practices.Gain experience with departmental and UHN databases (e.g., Epic, Archebus).Develop an understanding of the interdependencies between FMPRO Operations and Clinical, Diagnostic, and Support functions across UHN.Apply problem-solving methods and analytical skills. Recognize and resolve problems using standard procedures.Develop rapport and teamwork skills.Work for consensus and contribute to team goals. Act as a resource to team members.Communicate effectively in team meetings, accurately capturing meeting points and action items.Participate in work groups and committees.Provide updates on tasks and work well with diverse teams.QualificationsAt minimum, completion of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Admin or Health Sciences or recognized equivalent required.Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.Previous experience in Environmental Services, Patient Transportation, Linen Services, Nutrition Services, Facilities & Building Maintenance, Energy & Sustainability, or Leasing is an asset.Ability to act as a resource and role model.Skilled in facilitating and resolving problems.Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills.Experience with Power Bi, Microsoft Excel, and SQL.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organization, prioritization skills, computer skills, ability to learn quickly and work independentlyExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and attend to detailsAbility to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance with UHN standardsClient service-oriented, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and appreciate that differing opinions, backgrounds, and characteristics enhance the richness of any challenge or situation.Ability to perform multiple concurrent tasksKnowledge of applicable legislative, UHN and/or departmental policiesSatisfactory attendanceAdditional InformationWhy join UHN?In addition to working alongside some of the most talented and inspiring healthcare professionals in the world, UHN offers a wide range of benefits, programs and perks.
