SummaryTeacher Assistant support Lead Teachers and the Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for children with and without disabilities. Assists in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. Must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Assist in implementing a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children. Effectively observe and document in the ongoing assessment of children's learning and implementation IFSP/IEP goals.DutiesAssist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness,and availability of classroom materials.Implement IFSP/IEP goals.Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.Follow all center policies and state regulations.Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentHigh energy.Ability to work well with others.Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.An understanding of child development.Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.Nice To HavesMinimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experienceInfant/child CPR and First Aid certification.Completion of infant/toddler or preschool certificateBenefitsHealth InsurancePaid time offpaid holidays403(b) with employer contribution and more!About UsAt the Irene Wortham Early Learning Center, children ages six weeks to pre-k with and without developmental challenges learn, play and grow together in an integrated setting.
