You will embody our culture by treating every client with courtesy and respect, with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between owners and their pets.How you'll make a difference:Monitor and appropriately document patient vital signs and activityProvide support to all veterinarians and assist other departments as requestedProvide comfort, diagnostic, surgical and nursing care to all patients including critical care patientsObtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing including but not limited to blood draws, arterial blood gas sampling, urinary catheter sampling and free catch urinePerform various laboratory procedures including but not limited to blood typing, cross matching, and slide agglutination testingAccurately take and process abdominal, thoracic, appendicular, spinal, and skull radiograph while following appropriate radiation safety protocolsProperly use and maintain medical equipmentProvide professional client communicationWhat you will bring:Experience working as a Technician or Veterinary Assistant for 2+ years in an ICU setting preferredA strong desire to learn and apply knowledge/skills learned to daily work lifeAbility to communicate effectively both written and oralAbility to demonstrate technical procedures as outlined in the technician protocolsDemonstrate reliability and follow-through with all work-related tasks / projectsSchedule: 4X10 hours with openings on:Overnights, varied shiftsSalary: $18-33 / hour based on experience with differentials:Overnight shift: 4-6$/hour differentialBenefits:Discount on veterinary care and pet insurance options for your furry familyMental health support with TalkspaceUniform allowanceLearning and growth opportunitiesContinuing education support for licensed team members401k retirement plan options with company matchMedical, vision, and dental insurance options - some plans may be paid up to 100%Basic life insurance provided and other voluntary insurance options available for full-time team members6 weeks paid parental leave for full-time team membersPaid time off for full-time team membersLocation: 10140 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033Apply today to learn how Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital can be your next career home!#VETTECHVeritas Veterinary Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
