CME's licensed engineers and certified technicians specialize in geotechnical engineering, construction materials evaluation in both field and laboratory, geological sciences, subsurface exploration, and investigative engineering.SummaryPerform material testing and inspection services on commercial construction sites. Day trips in the Elmira, NY area (Southern Tier NY and some of Northern PA).Responsibilities and DutiesTest construction materials such as soils and concrete for quality assurance on commercial sitesRead construction drawings and specifications and correctly interpret test resultsComplete each testing assignment accurately and in accordance with appropriate standardsRecord and report test results in a clear, concise mannerCommunicate regularly with direct supervisor to provide updates on project detailsComplete continuing education and preparation for additional certifications through the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and International Code Council (ICC)Qualifications and SkillsHS DiplomaAssociate or bachelor's degree in civil engineering / technology, geology, or related is ideal although not necessaryAbility to obtain certifications through American Concrete Institute (ACI) and International Code Council (ICC) with full support from CMEFamiliarity with construction materials, procedures, and documents a plusMust possess and maintain a valid driver's licenseCompensation: $20 - 25/hourBenefits and PerksCME offers competitive wages and benefits such as: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, Health Savings Account, Supplemental Insurance Products, and Paid Time Off (including Holiday, Vacation, Sick and Personal) for full time employees.This is an Equal Employment Opportunity.
