This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.Relief Security Officers in Melbourne and surrounding areas - 24*7 rotating rosterPay rate of $27.55/hour plus super and shift penalties where applicableJoin one of Australia's largest security companies and an employer of choiceAbout the roleWe are looking for Relief Security Officers to work at Homes Victoria sites spread across Melbourne. Duties include but are not limited to:Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other personsPatrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gatesRespond to alarms and investigate disturbancesProvide assistance to residents and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order.Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV and alarm systems.Conduct regular inspections and write reports to ensure security and safety equipment is functioning properly.Ability work across all sites of Homes VICSkills & experienceDemonstrated ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently and prior experience working in a challenging environmentCertificate II in Security OperationsWorking with children check (or willing to apply for one)Valid Security Licence and First Aid and CPRFull Australian working rightsStrong understanding of security protocols and procedures.Excellent observational and surveillance skills.Ability to operate security equipment and systems.Good communication skills and the ability to report incidents clearly and accurately.Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.How to applyMSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
