POSITION TITLE: Technical Work Plans EditorDEPARTMENT: Federal Government DivisionLOCATION: Niagara Falls, New YorkSALARY RANGE: $20 to $40 per hourJOB NUMBER: 2024-AFALLS-01DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:Sevenson, who has been in business for over 100 years, is a national leader in remedial construction and environmental dredging. Sevenson entered the environmental remediation market sector in 1979 performing the remediation at the first Superfund site ever – Love Canal. Our clients include the US Army Corps of Engineers, US EPA, US Navy, and commercial clients.We are a nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor (#3 in Engineering News-Record in 2024) looking for an entry-level/middle-level Technical Work Plans Editor to support environmental remediation projects nationwide.This full-time / part-time position is located in our Niagara Falls, NY headquarter office. The individual selected for this key position will assist the project teams with editing and formatting of site-specific work plans. This Technical Work Plans Editor will also work closely with others from Sevenson’s Federal Programs team and may assist in other project sites when needed.Sevenson offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience. We hire our employees with the intent for them to retire at Sevenson.The daily work will include:Editing and formatting of written work plansCommunication with project teamsAssist in other editorial projects, as neededSKILLS/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s Degree in English or an applicable writing degree from an accredited college/university.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Adobe PDF and PowerPoint is requiredMust be well organized and detailedMust have a strong work ethic and good communication skills as the selected individual will interact regularly with internal project management staff, field supervision, professional services, construction subcontractors, and the client’s representatives.SALARY/BENEFITS:An employee’s salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.
