Are you passionate about ensuring safety within the aviation industry?Join Our Team as an Aviation Safety Officer!At Starlink Aviation, we're dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.Your primary focus will be on promoting a culture of safety, identifying potential hazards, assessing risks, follow up on mitigation actions. You will work closely with various departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.Your main responsibilities are:Promote a culture of safety consciousness, encouraging employees to report safety concerns and near-misses, and promoting a proactive approach to safety.Develop, promote, and maintain Starlink Aviation’s safety policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and evaluate the effectiveness of existing safety measures.Collaborate with department heads, supervisors, and employees to promote safety awareness and provide guidance on best practices.Assist managers to investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, gathering data, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Maintain accurate safety records, including incident reports, safety training documentation, and safety performance metrics.Conduct safety training sessions and workshops for employees, ensuring they are aware of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements.Stay updated on industry trends, emerging safety technologies, and changes in safety regulations, and recommend necessary updates to safety policies and procedures.Liaise with regulatory agencies, participate in safety-related inspections, and assist in the preparation of safety-related reports and documentation.Monitor safety-related performance indicators and provide regular reports and updates to management on safety metrics, trends, and areas of improvement.ConditionsThe Safety Officer must be primarily available for emergency situations at all times, 24/7.Part-time with a minimum of 10 hours per week.Remuneration will be based on the candidate's experience.A hybrid position: some tasks will be conducted remotely, while others will require on-site presence.RequirementsIn-depth knowledge of aviation safety regulations, standards, and best practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and develop effective safety strategies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate safety requirements and train employees.Proficient verbal and written communication abilities in both French and English languages.Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.Knowledge of incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis.Familiarity with safety management systems (SMS) and risk management principles.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Proficiency in using safety-related software, tools, and reporting systems.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Strong leadership and influencing skills to drive a safety culture within the organization.Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in aviation safety.CASO training is an asset.Eligible for obtaining an identity card for restricted areas (RAIC).ProfileAs a Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and safety of employees, passengers, and the organization as a whole.
