,library:fa-solid},full_width:stretch,layout:horizontal,toggle:burger} data-widget_type=nav-menu.default>MenuCNC Milling OperativeFull TimePosted 16 hours ago£31000 - £35000 per annum GBPSalary: £31000 - £35000 per annumRapier EmploymentIndustry:Manufacturing and ProductionJob DescriptionRapier Employment, are working on behalf of their client, who are on the look-out for an experienced, senior CNC Milling Operative to join their team on a permanent contract from day one.The shift pattern would be rotating days and afters, Monday to Friday – 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm, although they are open to negotiation should you only be available for one of the shifts.PLEASE NOTE: THE AFTERS SHIFT WILL INCLUDE A 10% UPLIFT ON YOUR HOURLY RATE SHOULD YOU OPT TO WORK THE ALTERNATIVE SHIFT PATTERN.Salary of up to £35,000 per annum based on 40 hours PER week.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Assisting with the modification or construction of tooling, jigs and attachments in order to maintain or improve production processesMonitoring the delivery and allocation of tooling on arrival from supplier.Maintaining the KanBan system and ensure stock of all relevant supplies.Identification of any deficiency in product quality or other deviation from product specification.Manufacturing new tooling when required to issued drawingsPreventative maintenance on tooling, all aspects of machining and bench fitting, i.e., grinding, turning milling etcTesting tooling prior to releaseAssesing the life of a press tool and to order any new parts or make new parts that need replacingReplace pilots, probe pins, springs, designing and making special fixtures to fit to toolsKeeping database orders and scheduling up to dateRead drawings and suggest possible improvements.Must meet production schedule targets and all other Kpi's relevant to the role and departmentMonitoring attendance levels and completing return to work interviews.Report any unauthorised absences and issues involving staff members to HR.Attending daily production meetings with the Production Manager.Ensure all staff are wearing appropriate PPE and completing relevant risk assessments.Ensure their working area is kept to satisfactory standard and complies with company Health and Safety requirements.Responsible for ensuring all equipment remains in its designated areaReport any wrong-doing activity to a member of the SMT as and when requiredExpected to work in conjunction with the Production controller.Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient use and control of machinery, tooling, equipment.Monitor and continuously improve processes.Any other duties which the line manager deems reasonable.Gas safety inspection on furnaces up to the point of needing external companyOverseeing the CNC shift and assisting them.Should this role be of interest, please apply via the link or alternatively, call Luke on 01777 800 312 for further information.Rapier Employment
