We are constantly on a mission to add smart, innovative and fun-loving team members, and are looking for a Sourcing Assistant to come join our New York based headquarters. Our HQ Office is located in Lower Manhattan and the team is on-site 4 days per week.Position OverviewTommy John is seeking a versatile, self-driven, Sourcing Assistant to support production from initial bookings & PO placement until final x-factory. This position is administrative/entry level and reports to the Pre-Production & Production Manager. The Assistant will support the Production team to issue seasonal purchase orders and Track WIP from PO issuance to x-factory.Primary ResponsibilitiesCreate & Issue Purchase Orders; seasonal, chase, off cadence, and ISOUpdate purchase order, system revisions (NetSuite)Maintain daily communication with internal & external partners to troubleshoot data issuesReview production WIP report against all production schedules & shipment tracking, updating shipment status when necessaryManage and report weekly PSR (Production Status Report)Assist Manager with liability analysisPull PO's for business analysis to influence sourcing strategiesReview and approve all production related invoices such as surcharges, garment testing, etc.Assist in requesting bulk garment testing and uploading reports into CentricQualifications, Skills, & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Fashion Production/Design, Merchandising, or related field1-2 years of experience in a product development capacity at a fashion/retail companyStrong Microsoft Excel skillsExperience in PLM and Centric systems a plusUnderstanding of the product development life cycle, calendar, and cross functional goalsSelf-starter with excellent communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a growing and transforming environment with both speed and accuracyAbility to prioritize and multi-task work to meet critical deadlinesAbility to proactively identify issues, provide options & creative solutions, and work collaboratively to resolve issuesStrong organizational and follow up skillsDemonstrated alignment with TJ core values: Humble, Adaptable, Mindful, GSD 2.0, and CuriousAbility to be on-site in our HQ Office in Lower Manhattan 4 days per weekSome awesome reasons to join us at Tommy John:Our Team Culture of Collaboration and Community; Happy Office, Culture and DEI Events, Fun Snacks and Happy HoursComprehensive Benefits for you and your family - Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k and more with employee only coverage paid 100% by Tommy JohnGenerous Paid Parental LeaveFlexible Paid Time Off PolicyHybrid Work EnvironmentTommy John Employee DiscountLearning OpportunitiesSalary Range: $62,400 to $65,000 annuallyBut, don't just take our word for it.
