Through a family-centred approach, you will provide support in a safe home environment to people who may present complex behaviours, as well as people with diverse abilities. Your natural ability to care for others, working both independently and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, will allow you to influence your team’s success.You willMonitor program delivery, planning, and organizational leadershipAct as a community liaison and coordinate special projects as assignedReport to the Regional Manager and DirectorsDemonstrate ability to manage and supervise multi/interdisciplinary teams using strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and conflict resolution skillsManage multiple projects with a high level of confidentiality, diplomacy and professionalismUse sound judgment and be able to perform well under pressure to meet strict deadlinesConceptualize new programs and services and experience in planning, organizing, directing, and implementing community-based activities and programs in a collaborative mannerProvide services in a manner that supports and reflects positive cultural practicesUse highly developed communication skills, both oral and writtenRecruit, provide orientation to, schedule and evaluate personnelProvide direction, guidance and support for team members to manage conflict openly and constructivelySchedule and attend staff meetings and attend and participate in other meetings as requiredMaintain an attitude of caring, respect and optimism for families, representatives and community membersEnsure the home is maintained in a neat and clean state at all timesWhat you bringA degree in one of the humanities, social sciences or related field with educational preparation for the role of manager/administratorMinimum 3 – 5 years experience in a health management role required*other combinations of education and experience may be considered* * Knowledge of and or experience working within a unionized environmentKnowledge of Aboriginal Operational Practice Standards and IndicatorsKnowledge of provincial, federal, and Indigenous organizationsStandard First Aid with CPR certificateKnowledge of complex behaviour, and health-needs managementPossess a satisfactory physician’s assessment of fitness to workAll current vaccinations, including COVID-19 vaccination as mandated by the PHOSatisfactory criminal record and MCFD HUB clearanceHave a valid driver's license, access to a safe and reliable vehicle and the ability to travelA belief in the humanity of all peopleWhy you'll love it herePacific Coast Community Resources offers work you can feel fulfilled by through quality programs and services to people who live with disabilities that promote independence, self-growth, and community integration.
