Position summary:This position reports to the Director of EMS and responsible for the oversite of the Emergency Medical Services clinicals and infection control.Position responsibilities:Develop and maintain strong professional working relationship with all clinical sites.Organize and follow up on the activities of the clinical sites and the students’ attendance and requirements at each site and will provide summary reports on adherence to appropriate standards of care.Teach at least one class per semester, as scheduled by the Director of EMS.Write and update as needed, clinical operating guidelines and infection control policy.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Position Requirements:EMT—Paramedic certification in good standing with the Texas Department of State Health Services.Three years EMT—Paramedic experience.Ability to deal professionally and courteously with a diverse employee and student population.Strong skills in word processing, database, and spreadsheets.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work with LMS platforms and scheduling tools.Supervisory Responsibilities:0 Full-Time Direct Reports 0 Part-Time Direct ReportsPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Site visits to clinical sites and provider locations.Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.No or very limited physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.No or very limited exposure to physical risk.Some travel and weekends required.Safety:Provide up-to-date clinical and Infection control policies and guidelines.Provide resources for safe operation of units. Base pay for no experience ranges from $55,040 for a Bachelor's degree to $66,506 for a doctorate. Overload and summer classes are paid separately.Kilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program. As a result, employees/retirees of the college are subject to the federal Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and possibly the Government Pension Offset (GPO) laws.
