Full-time fixed term until 31st December 2025, with the potential for extensionExciting opportunity to provide executive support to an ambitious joint ventureBase Salary $104,633 - $113,992 + 17% superannuationAbout the Sydney Quantum AcademyThe Sydney Quantum Academy is a joint venture between The University of Sydney, The University of New South Wales, Macquarie University and University of Technology Sydney, to establish Sydney (and Australia) as a global destination for talent, investment, and innovation in relation to quantum technology and the future quantum economy. Collaborating with academia, industry, and government, SQA will harness Sydney’s collective quantum expertise to develop diverse talent and a globally recognised quantum ecosystem.About the opportunityAs the Executive Officer – Sydney Quantum Academy, you will be the primary administrative support for SQA’s governance committees - the Executive Board, Finance Committee, External Advisory Board and Technical Advisory Committee. Performing a central role within the SQA team, you will enable the achievement of strategic objectives by leading key administrative functions and maintaining excellent communication and relationships with key stakeholders.Your key responsibilities will be to:work within a dynamic team, reporting to Chief Operating Officerco-ordinate and provide secretariat support to the SQA Executive Board, Technical Advisory Committee, External Advisory Board, and relevant subcommittees and working groupsprovide professional executive support services to the SQA and its CEO ensuring highly proficient coordination and execution of critical activities and taskspartner with SQA’s accommodation provider(s) to confirm and prepare appropriate space and facilities for the SQA team and other stakeholdersdevelop local policy and procedures for the SQA, ensuring compliance with University of Sydney administration policies and proceduresproactively manage record keeping and reporting for the work area.About youtertiary qualifications and/or relevant work experience in a related fielddemonstrated experience providing secretariat support to an executive board or senior committeeexperience managing a diverse group of key internal/external stakeholders on small, large, or complex projectsproven ability to research, interpret, draft, implement and provide advice on complex legislation and proceduresadvanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, with extensive executive diary management experienceexcellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasksfinancial management experience, including budget management and the use of financial systemsprevious executive assistant experience in the higher education/tertiary sector, not-for-profit, start-up or at a complex organisation is highly desirable.To keep our community safe, please be aware of our which form our conditions of entry for all staff, students and visitors coming to campus.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaPlease note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
