Because why not do it all?WHAT TO EXPECTAs the EMEA Headquarters, our team in Luxembourg works at the heart of decision-making, driving the company's strategic initiatives and ensuring the seamless flow of information across our network of manufacturing plants, distribution centers and sales offices.We're currently looking for a proactive and hands-on Finance intern who is eager to take the reins in monitoring and actively enhancing our regional accounting controls. Your drive and self-motivation will be the driving force behind implementing and elevating these crucial processes.You will report to the Regional Chief Accounting & Consolidation based in Luxembourg and you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Regional Control & Compliance Manager and the local finance team members across the Region.Key responsibilities (to name a few):Monitoring monthly Accounting Controls across the EMEA Region: Balance Sheet reconciliation, Journal Entries review, …Supporting Control Environment implementation in the Shared Service Center and across the EMEA Region: Guidance, SOP, Workshop and training, …Supporting SOX Controls auditFollowing month end closing process with the EMEA region and prepare year-end closing: local entity closing, intercompany eliminations and basic balance sheet discrepancies.ABOUT YOUStudying towards a master's degree in finance or accounting (completed or in-progress) with at least a first experience in an auditing or accounting department.Available for a 6 months full-time internship starting September / October and supported by an internship agreement provided by the universityFirst exposure to IFRS or US GAAPAbility to work understand ERP Systems such as SAP Finance is an assetGood negotiator with strong project management and communication skillsFluent in EnglishWHY GATES?Founded in 1911 in Denver, Colorado, Gates is publicly traded on the NYSE.
