The Faculty of Health is committed to improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities through world-class research, global connections and research inspired teaching.The UTS aim to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities through world-class research, global connections, and teaching that inspires nursing and midwifery graduates to be compassionate, curious, capable and politically astute.Detailed DescriptionAbout The RoleThis position works within the End of Life Directors in Aged Care (ELDAC) consortium and is based at the University of Technology Sydney within the UTS Ageing Research Collaborative.The School is currently recruiting an Education Research Fellow to take responsibility for the creation, delivery and continuous quality improvement of palliative care education for nurses, allied health professionals and care workers in aged care settings. It includes (but is not limited to): direct teaching informed by approaches that enhance the learner experience through delivery innovation; and advancements in education technologies. Appointees bring recent, ongoing and extensive experience and knowledge of palliative care and advance care planning practice to the position, ideally with an educational background in working in palliative or aged care settings.The successful candidate will engage in learning and teaching and to develop and maintain scholarly, research and professional activities related to their discipline and workload profile.About YouAs the Education Research Fellow, you will produce high quality research outputs and be able to present these to industry bodies. You will have contemporary clinical experience in palliative care and advance care planning, preferably in palliative care within aged care settings.To be successful you will also have:A PhD in Nursing or Health related field or equivalent experienceA graduate certificate in Higher Education or Palliative Care (desirable)A current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Nurse or Nurse PractitionerDemonstrated experience in the delivery of multimodal Innovative and flexible approach to palliative care and advance care planning education delivery for nurses, allied health professionals and personal care workers in aged care settingsDemonstrated experience in curriculum design aligned to the UTS Model of Learning and evaluation of education deliveryFor the full list of selection criteria and role responsibilities, please download the Position Statement from the documents section belowRemuneration/SalaryBase Salary Range: $119,475 to $141,405 pa (Level B) pro-rataThis role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.The position is part-time (0.6FTE, 3 days per week) and will be made on a fixed term basis until 30 June 2026.UTS staff also benefit from a wide range of Employee Benefits include flexible work practices, childcare centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.University of Technology Sydney
