Examples of large infrastructure projects include Schools, Hospitals, Offices, Correctional Facilities, Courthouses, and Museums.If you're seeking an opportunity to support building infrastructure programs, then this is your next great opportunityAbout Our OpportunityReporting to the Executive Director, Building Infrastructure and Design and Construction, the Capital Program Manager is responsible for providing coordination and support to facilitate the delivery of a fast paced, diverse portfolio of provincially funded building infrastructure projects, as well as projects characterized as having significant complexity and risk.Primary AccountabilitiesAs the Capital Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing/coordinating the business requirements and deliverables associated with the building capital construction programming process, including project initiation documentation describing project governance, charters, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, change management, process evaluation, as well as implementing solutions and applying lessons learned.You will be managing relationships at the senior executive level and responding to emerging requests and program update reports. You will also work closely with the project teams to assist with delivery of the capital programsQualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in business administration or commerce from an accredited university, plus six (6) years related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.A strong understanding of project management and design/construction principles and techniques, reporting on complex multiyear, multidiscipline, high dollar value projects. Professional maturity to advise on development of strategic infrastructure plans and programs, taking into consideration sustainability and cross organizational impacts. Experience working in a design and construction environment is considered an asset.You possess exceptional organizational and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to work collaboratively on multiple deadlines simultaneously. You demonstrate leadership qualities, have a knack for building relationships with various stakeholders, and hold a high standard for client and customer service. This position faces frequent pressure for deadlines, as such, your ability to multi-task and adapt in fast-paced environments is critical.As the successful candidate, you must demonstrate excellent professional judgement in the building construction industry. You inspire confidence and creativity, and you possess excellent judgement and professionalism in dealing with departmental management and stakeholders.We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.EquivalencyAn equivalent combination of training, education and experience will be considered.
