This position will offer you professional growth opportunities within a supportive and inclusive culture.This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a passionate, highly driven, dedicated and progressive team.About the Role:An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Registered Nurse within the Acute Frailty Unit.The Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Division are opening an Acute Frailty Unit at Lyell McEwin Hospital which will provide a comprehensive geriatrics assessment in a short-stay setting for patients requiring acute in-patient admission, with direct flow through to geriatrics subacute and out-of-hospital services.The dedicated multi-disciplinary team within the Acute Frailty Unit will focus on early assessment and decision making, offering a hub of expertise and leadership in geriatrics and provide education for staff in the care of older persons.As a Registered Nurse you will provide nursing services in health service settings. In this role you will develop from a novice practitioner to a proficient level of professional practice and consolidate knowledge and skills, developing in capability through continuous professional development and experience. As a Registered Nurse you will accept accountability for your own standards of nursing care and for activities delegated to others.To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.About Us:The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) provides care for more than 400,000 people living in the northern metropolitan area of Adelaide and boasts newly redeveloped wards and Emergency and Outpatient Departments, with plans for the addition of more brand-new facilities in the near future.
