Design and implement corrective actions as needed. Provide input to management regarding strategic risks.Manage assigned operational strategies, policies and plans and ensure compliance with policies, quality requirements and regulations.Plan operational activities for assigned area in terms of output quality and quantity, financial sustainability, cost, facilities, time available and labour requirements. This includes managing stakeholders, and their expectations as applies to your work.Manage outputs and operational quality through development and periodic updating of standard operating procedures and policy within assigned area of responsibility.Oversee the development and maintenance of operational budgets to ensure efficient and compliant spending. Coordinate logistics and maintain supply chains to support program outcomes.Manage research/investigation of improved operational methods. Trial, recommend and implement initiatives. Use insights gained to recommend improvements to senior management.Supervise the allocation of work assignments and tracking of progress from direct reports. Establish parameters for staff to exercise own initiative and escalate matters.Manage a diverse occupational group/multi-disciplinary team. Ensure all HR responsibilities are undertaken according to DAF policy; including recruitment, performance management and leave applications.Interpret and apply legislation, regulations, instructions or other guidelines relating to the operations, policies or functions of the work area.Use stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills to negotiate issues involving both internal and external stakeholders.
