We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers. Now with 22 sites nationwide, Cranswick are dedicated to growing and developing our team.Our Preston site is growing! We are on the look out for a Despatch Chargehand to become an integral part of our team! You would be responsible for Ensuring the running of Despatch Operation by implementing and supervising the collection of products.Main duties include (but not limited to):Supervise the Despatch Operatives ensuring they are carrying out the correct scanning and assignment of product from boxing into stock locations and correct paperwork into DespatchEnsuring all Retail requirements are picked and presented in a timely mannerManage the order collection and palletising, including stock rotation, maintain the shelf requirements and ensure the correct locations are usedTake receipt of bought-in chilled products and packaging and ingredients and manage the correct re-labelling of these linesLiaise with office staff regarding loading and booking timesAble to talk clearly and concisely about working standards in own areaYou will have:Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing (preferably food related)Proven track record of managing teamsKnowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniquesComputer skills (Microsoft Office) ideally with knowledge of FOPS and Nav systemsAbility to interact with high profile customersWe offer:Excellent and competitive rates of payStrong commitment to progression and personal development through department specific training matrix.
