Join the Contracts and Procurement team on a fixed term temporary full-time basis to lead the development and implementation of best practice strategic supplier management framework, strategies and procedures to establish a consistent ‘partnership’ style approach to supplier management.Job details Position status Fixed Term TemporaryPosition type Flexible full-timeOccupational group IT & TelecommunicationsClassification AO8Workplace Location Brisbane Inner CityJob ad reference QLD/581021Closing date 09-Aug-2024Yearly salaryFortnightly salaryTotal remunerationSalary OtherJob duration Until 31 December 2024 with an option to extendContact person Tracey TurnerContact details 35425765Access theThe successful candidate will establish a framework for supplier governance to monitor the service provided and to deliver commercial value from contracts and understand the legal position in addressing underperformance.Key responsibilities:Understand the ICT and digital health marketplace the strategic supplier (partner) operates in or be able to quickly gain relevant knowledge to lead a collaborative supplier partnership relationship.Understand the contractual relationships between eHealth Queensland and the partner and how the goods and/or services should be delivered to support and achieve eHealth Queensland's objectives and strategic direction.Supplier performance objectives and relationship management activities with business and commercial objectives and any contract management strategies, having regard to public sector probity principles.Comprehension of the operational, legal, and financial risks associated with the partnership and a broad understanding of legal and financial management principles and other quantitative information to provide advice and guidance to facilitate delegates to make commercially responsible decisions.Establish a positive and effective working environment with suppliers for mutually beneficial outcomes with the ability to set expectations on what can be realistically delivered.Continuously measure, report, and improve supplier quality and performance against key partner objectives and initiatives.Manage, develop, and maintain supplier management framework capability.Interpret and analyse data and information, then use this insight to develop strategies within the partnership to drive value, reduce risk and improve service delivery.Strong ability to influence and work within and across teams, mentor, and coach, and establish good relationships and networks internal and external to the organisation.You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘Key Responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:Focuses strategically, understands the organisation's objectives and aligns operational activities accordingly. Demonstrates high level conceptual and analytical skills with the capacity to identify and analyse complex issues and develop quality contract management and relationship management strategies. (SFIA Skill: PROC: Level 5)Establishes clear plans and timeframes for partner management implementation and outlines specific activities under the partner management plans. Demonstrated experience to lead the development and implementation of strategic supplier partner management strategies. (NHS: Effective and Strategic Influencing).Builds and sustains relationships with a network of key people internally and externally and demonstrates capacity and experience in keeping with wider strategy objectives. (SFIA Skill: SURE: Level 5)Provides impartial and forthright advice. Challenges important issues constructively, persists and focuses on achieving objectives even in difficult circumstances. (SFIA Skill: PROC: Level 5)Confidently presents messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner by using highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate persuasively with stakeholders and advise clients and senior management on supplier management strategies.
