Permanent part time, 38 hours per fortnight opportunity to deliver routine to increasingly more complex level adult speech pathology clinical services within the Department of Speech Pathology and as a member of a multidisciplinary team to patients and other stakeholders of the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. This involves the assessment, diagnosis and management of patients with acquired swallowing and communication disorders.About youOur ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:Exercise independent professional clinical judgement in providing speech pathology clinical services of a complex nature where principles, procedures, techniques, or methods require expansion, adaptation, or modification, without the need for direct regular clinical practice supervision. Clinical services include the assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex communication disorders, tracheostomy, and swallowing disorders. Clinical services will be delivered in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.Work co-operatively and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and with patients and carers.
