Join our team of culinary professionals at a world-renowned tech company in the heart of Playa Vista, and enjoy nights, weekends, and holidays off, as well as competitive wages and other great benefits!We are currently seeking experienced line cooks to join our full-time kitchen team at our corporate dining location!What we're looking for:Excellent culinary and line cook skillsKnowledge of international cuisinesStrong familiarity of different sauces, ingredients, and world spicesAbility to keep up with daily-changing menusProficiency with different types of protein cutsUtilization and knowledge of knife cuts performed in a fast, efficient, and safe mannerFamiliarity of different and unique cooking techniquesExcellent multitasking skills, time management, sense of urgency, and teamworkAbility to swiftly move throughout the café and kitchenKnowledge of safety and sanitation in the workplaceHigh volume production and large batch cooking experienceAbility to handle kitchen equipment and tools safelyResponsibilitiesProduction according to recipes/directionsCut and clean a variety of fruits, vegetables, and proteins using a knife and/or cutting machinesFollow production sheets, portioning, and merchandising details as instructed by ChefsFollow all recipes and guidelines while meeting production deadlinesTaste all food prepared for station to ensure flavor, freshness, and qualityMaintain a clean and organized station and prep areaMaintain kitchen equipmentFollow proper rotation and storage of goodsFollow safety and sanitation procedures with all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk ManagementProduce consistent quality food products using recipes designed by world class chefsEducation and Work ExperienceHigh school diploma or GEDCulinary Degree (preferred but not required)Minimum 4+ years line cook experienceWork EnvironmentFast paced kitchenHigh sense of urgencyModerate to high noise levelState of the art kitchen and equipmentPositive teamwork mentalityRequirementsMust have and maintain an active ServSafe/Food Handler's CardWhat We OfferMonday-Friday Schedule (No nights, weekends, or holidays!)2 Weeks Paid Time Off (PTO)Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401kDelicious complimentary meals while on shiftUniforms providedDiverse and inclusive work environmentJob Type: Full-timePay: $23-$24/hour Depending on Experience (DOE)Powered by JazzHRTres LA Group
