Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a Packing Operator for our Milling division based in Lethbridge, AB.P&H Milling P&H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P&H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour for chappati. In our specialty milling operation in Saskatoon, we also mill pea fractions.From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Acton, Hanover, Hamilton, and Cambridge, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P&H Milling Group supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.Wage and Benefits Wage: $26.92/hrParrish & Heimbecker Ltd has a people-first approach therefore, we offer many perks to our hard-working staff! Some of our benefits include:Learning and Development ProgramsDental, Vision, and Extended Health CareEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Time OffRRSP MatchingWellness ProgramCompany EventsYour Role As a Packer, the successful candidate will report to the Warehouse Supervisor and will support the operations, performing his/her duties in a safely and timely manner within the Mill.Day to DayWeighting, packing, and loading flour products in a safe manner.Operating tote filling, packer and filling systems and stretch wrap machines.Stack product manually as required by the process.Keeping the work area tidy and performing sanitation duties throughout the plant as required.Complete all required reports according to BRC/HACCP/Food Safety program.Ensuring that cleaning materials and tools are in proper place and organized.Month end inventory counts and daily bin measurement.To be efficient in operations and duties, to achieve highest rates possible.Required QualificationsPrevious experience in the food manufacturing environment.Ability to operate forklift, floor jacks, and pallet lift.Willing to be train in the operation of the rail car mover as required.Able to work in dusty areas throughout the Mill.Must be able to safely lift and stack 25 kg bags.Depending on need, must be able to work:12 hours shifts – 5 on and 5 off.
