The primary role of this Unit is to ensure accountability and integrity in departmental information provided to partner agencies in a politically sensitive and ever-changing environment.The Unit is dedicated to providing proficient communication and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.Job details Position status Fixed Term TemporaryPosition type Full-timeOccupational group AdministrationClassification AO5Workplace Location Brisbane Inner CityJob ad reference QLD/578736/24Closing date 01-Aug-2024Yearly salaryFortnightly salaryTotal remunerationSalary OtherJob duration Until to 17/04/2025 with possible extension.Contact person Janelle ForresterContact details Phone: 07 3364 6532Access theOur role includes, but not limited to, facilitating the provision of correspondence and briefings notes, Possible Parliamentary Questions and Questions on Notice to the Office of the Minister for Police, as well as the Department of Premier and Cabinet.The Unit also manages the Ministerial Events Schedule, which involves identifying event opportunities for the Minister and coordinating the preparation of all necessary documents.The Core Capability Requirements for this role are:Prepare ministerial correspondence.Review and edit Ministerial correspondence and Ministerial Briefing Notes for submission to the Minister to ensure compliance with departmental standards including timeframe performance requirements.Provide high quality advice to the Manager and coordinate responses.Routinely liaise with staff and officers at all levels within the QPS to ensure the efficient processing of correspondence for the Minister.Work under limited supervision using a high level of initiative to resolve issues, deliver practical solutions and disseminate information which supports business outcomes.Routinely prioritise competing demands to meet business and performance timeframes.Utilise the computerised correspondence management tracking system to ensure correspondence management and recording systems are efficient.Contribute to the ongoing review and enhancement of administrative systems to improve business outcomes.Assist with the delivery and review of internal performance monitoring by assisting to compile and analyse monthly/quarterly reports.Role RequirementsThere are no mandatory requirements for this role.
