DESCRIPTIONAs Senior Program Manager for Trade Compliance, you will be responsible for building and leading a mission-critical program to proactively identify, track, and drive action on emerging trade regulations, customs requirements, and cross-border policy developments that impact Amazon's global seller and logistics operations. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams including legal, policy, compliance, and product to ensure Amazon stays ahead of the curve in navigating an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving trade compliance landscape.You will collaborate closely with business, legal, global trade services, product, technology, public policy and seller engagement teams to ensure we continue to add selection globally while maintaining compliance; and communicate progress and/or key discussions in reviews with senior leadership.Key job responsibilitiesDevelop and maintain a comprehensive, real-time horizon scanning system to identify and prioritize upcoming trade regulations, customs rules, and cross-border policy changes that could impact Amazon's seller and logistics businessesEstablish robust processes, workflows, and governance to ensure timely communication, assignment of ownership, and execution of trade compliance initiatives across the organizationServe as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, translating trade compliance insights into actionable business impact assessments and recommendationsDrive the design and implementation of scalable technology solutions to support automated data collection, analysis, and knowledge management for the trade compliance horizon scanning functionPartner closely with policy, legal, and global trade services teams to shape Amazon's engagement with trade authorities and policymakers on emerging compliance issuesContinuously evolve the horizon scanning program to increase its speed, accuracy, and strategic value to the businessBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in program or project management- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadershipPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field- Experience leading process improvementsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
