Client: New Jersey Utilities/Environmental OrganizationRole: Human Resources GeneralistSalary: $85,000 - $92,000/annually + Benefits, Pension Plan, etc.Location: Newark, New Jersey (*5 days a week on-site*)Job Description:The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing a wide variety of HR tasks. These will include such functions as administering employee benefit plans (including health, welfare, and retirement plans), overseeing all facets of the recruitment process, and providing support to other human resources functions as needed (generating HR related correspondence, record-keeping, HRlS development, policy development and interpretation, etc.).Responsibilities:1. Administers various human resources plans and programs for all company personnel, assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, and prepares and maintains policies and procedures manuals as required.2. Participates in the development of department goals, objectives, and systems.3. Administers the organization's pension and benefits programs. This will include such functions as claims resolution, change reporting and approving invoices for payment, as well as other related tasks.4. Develops and maintains affirmative action programs, files EE0-1 report annually, and maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.5. Oversees the recruitment effort for all personnel. Conducts new employee orientations and writes and places advertisements.6. Handles employee relations issues as assigned.7. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.8. Maintains company organization charts and other organizational/personnel documents as required.9. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in department efficiency of services offered.10. Maintains Human Resource Information System data and records. Compiles reports as required.11. Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.12. Administers and oversees company compliance programs such as CDL testing and others as assigned.13.0versees other HR programs as assigned (Above & Beyond Awards, Lunch & Learns, etc.).Vaco
