Our clients and patients also have access to internal medicine, ophthalmology, oncology, radiation oncology, neurology, dermatology, and radioactive iodine treatment via our affiliated practices in Tinton Falls and Iselin, NJ.Why GSiVS: We are not your typical veterinary hospital! We are proud to provide the highest standard of care to the patients we serve.Veterinary Technicians at GSiVS work along specialists and have access to the most advanced diagnostic tools to provide the best possible care. On any given day, you can expect to do the following on your shifts:Assist with general anesthesia and sedated proceduresSet up CRIs and calculate medical mathPlace IV catheters and institute fluid therapyProvide quality, compassionate care for hospitalized patientsPrepare and administer transfusions: Blood and PlasmaMaintain accurate treatment sheets and anesthesia recordsObtain and prepare various blood samples for diagnostic testingProvide client education on a wide range of at home careAbout you:Licensed Veterinary TechnicianComprehensive understanding of and experience with anesthetic monitoringProficiency in processing basic laboratory specimensWorking knowledge of anatomy and physiologyUnderstanding of normal vs abnormal physiologic rangesCommitment to help mentor and train veterinary assistantsAbility to work well in a highly collaborative environmentCommitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and communityPositive outlook and friendly, team-orientated attitudeExcellent communication and organizational skillsThe ability to deliver exceptional client serviceHonesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun!Schedule:OPEN depending on current needsSalary:LVT’s: $25-$35/hour, depending on experienceOvernight shifts: $2.50/Hour shift differentialWeekend Differential: $2.50/hourBenefits:Heath, dental, vision insuranceLicensure reimbursement for eligible candidatesLife insurancePTOUniforms providedPet discounts for medical careCompetitive CE opportunitiesGenerous Employee Referral Program401k and MatchingLicensed Veterinary Technicians are eligible for SIGN on bonus: $3,000 after initial 90 days, and an additional $3,000 at 1 year anniversaryGreater Staten Island Veterinary Services is located 3135 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10314#VETTECHVeritas Veterinary Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
