Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a world leader in the field of cable and pipe seals and are looking to recruit a Commercial Marine Manager to join their growing business within the Marine sector.This role will quite often be the initial face of the company and may be the first impression many commercial marine owners will have of them and therefore, it is very important the individual conducting this role can confidently and competently present themselves as a trusted technical advisor with an understanding of the ship owner needs and requirements, in order to develop and maintain credibility as a knowledgeable working partner.This integral position comes with a salary of up to £60,000, a generous bonus scheme, company car and many other company benefits.If you're a Business Development Manager and are looking to work for an organisation that not only invests in upskilling their staff but rewarding them greatly, then upload your CV to apply today.Responsibilities and dutiesAs the Commercial Marine Manager you will:Identify and target Commercial Marine companies across Northern Europe and work closely with them to develop brand awareness and generate specifications that will help further sales in chosen applicationsIdentify, quantify, and target projects with a clear focus on key decision makers (owners /operators, engineers, contractors, or resellers)Develop business, often from a cold start point through to standard specification / client approved listsSearch for new clients who would benefit from the solutions and support in order to maximise market potentialMaintain the existing client base of owners, operators, designers, and installersAttend industry events and forums in order to network for new opportunitiesPresent solutions to specifying engineers (electrical, control, instrumentation, mechanical, structural) via technical presentations, site visits, installation training, promotion with resellers and other means as appropriateCreate and execute targeted sales planPlan and manage all customer contacts and meetings within a CRM systemProvide routine, accurate and meaningful market information, forecasting and product planning to managementProvide pre-sales technical advice and solution guidance. This will extend to providing design input for our range of bespoke products where required.Professional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:University degree and/or equivalent would be desirableProfessional sales experience with preference to those that have a successful record presenting complex and/or technical solutions to decision makers, specifically engineers.Existing working relationships within owner / operators, engineering, contracting and design firmsStrong understanding of industrial business practices and effective sales techniquesExperience of business development with the ability to demonstrate structured planning and new prospect engagementAbility to use industry news / project databases / relationships to develop technical sales opportunitiesProven ability to manage long-term and complex sales projects to successAbility to travel internationallyPersonal skillsThe Commercial Marine Manager role would suit someone who has:Ability to develop, manage and perform to a sales and business plan with a consultancy approachEffective networking skillsProven ability and confidence to prepare and present solutions and strategies to groups of co-workers, clients, or prospectsAmbitious and driven by successRole involves working away from home for periods during the working week to serve the Northern Europe marketSalary and benefits of the Commercial Marine Manager roleBase salary up to £60,000Generous bonus scheme, paid annually20 days holiday, increasing to 25 days after 2 years' serviceAnnual performance reviewCompany carMany other company benefitsTo apply for this Commercial Marine Manager opportunity, please complete the form below.
