Our client, a Federal Government Department, is looking for a Microsoft Software Engineer for a contract role with an initial 11-month engagement and a likely further extension of 12 months. The right candidate could be located in any of several Australia states ACT, VIC, NSW with the ability to work full-time from the client's office in the respective state, however a hybrid working arrangement may be possible and will be reviewed on a cas-by-case basis.Note. * All candidates must be an Australian Citizen based in either ACT, NSW or VIC.All candidates must be able to obtain Federal Government Baseline Security Clearance.At least 5+ year's relevant local working experience in the field.Please note that offshore or any other visa category candidates will not be shortlistedThis is an exciting new role for the right candidate to participate in an innovation team, learning, stretching and growing your technical capabilities. Therefore, the client is seeking talented Microsoft and Python Software Engineers to join their innovation accelerator program.The innovation team focuses on adopting industry best practices and emerging technologies, adapting them to our operating environment and demonstrating business value. They are looking to bring additional members into the team to help formalise technical patterns, refine processes, develop rapid prototypes and support the industrialisation and broader adoption of new technologies and capabilities.The technology stack is based on .NET and Azure with many R&D tasks being undertaken in Python. From a technical perspective, they are looking for people who know how and when to move fast and break things and how to translate novel patterns, tools and capabilities into an enterprise environment in a reliable, scalable, and secure fashion.We are looking for hands-on software engineers with experience in a variety of organisations and an appreciation for different approaches to problem solving and rapid validation of technical hypotheses.
