Job DescriptionGreenfield has been exclusively mandated for a new assignment by one of its main clients, a Luxemburg-based infrastructure investment company which is listed on the London Stock Exchange and part of the FTSE250 index. The company has a portfolio of high quality social infrastructure investments diversified by geography and sector – including schools, hospitals, transportation – in Australia, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, the UK and the US. It has a net asset value of over £1 billion.About the RoleThe Manager / Senior Manager Valuation would primarily report to the Director responsible for Valuation. A strong emphasis will be placed on the individual’s financial modelling skills and interest in the infrastructure sector.Duties and responsibilities--- Valuation and Reporting (60% - 70%) ---Preparation of valuation models for Group's portfolio companiesBe the secondary individual responsible for updating and maintaining the business model of the company (Excel based)Work closely with the Asset Management team to analyse the performance of portfolio investments to:Track cash distributions;Prepare risk and opportunities analysis; andPrepare stress testing on key variablesSupport the preparation of internal and external reporting for:Management Board and Supervisory Board;Valuation section of annual report; andInvestor presentationSupport the FX hedging process--- Secondary Market Acquisitions (M&A)/ Primary Bidding (30% - 40%) ---Support or take ownership of the due diligence, financial analysis, risk analysis and mitigation in the acquisition processParticipate in creating and shaping the investment case(s) which are presented to the Investment CommitteeLiaise with other team members and external advisorsDesired profile4 to 8 years’ experience in valuations and financial modelling, an understanding of the infrastructure sector and project finance would be an advantageExcellent analytical and numerical skills; i.e. ability to build / understand complex financial models is essential; strong MS Excel skills are a mustHighly proficient in interrogating and analysing financial models which have been prepared by others, and comfortable with adapting / manipulating themHigh level of integrity and dependability, results-orientation with a strong sense of urgencyExcellent communication, writing, and financial analysis skillsAn ability to present ideas effectively and persuasivelyProven ability to work in a dynamic multicultural environment where everyone is expected to balance multiple roles and commitmentsEntrepreneurial team player, being capable of assuming responsibility in small teams and working individually, willing and able to work long hours when necessaryFinance degree, CFA qualification would be desirableGeneral expectationsInteract on a personal level with all staff while maintaining strict confidentialityBe professional and courteousHighest level of ethical standards, integrity, professionalism and judgmentWillingness to help co-workers and share job and/or systems knowledgeHelp provide coverage during absence of team membersParticipate in and actively contribute to special projects when requestedTake a proactive position in offering suggestions to enhance efficiency, quality and productivityContribute to and protect vibrant, collaborative culture where excellence and fresh thinking are recognized and rewardedActively introduce ideas, alternatives and solutions to challenges that ariseWillingly participate in company-sponsored trainingThe candidate must be fluent in English.If you are interested in this position or would like to discuss other roles that we are currently recruiting for, please forward your CV in English to Alexis PERL by applying on applications@greenfield.lu with the reference AP062.Greenfield Luxembourg is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applicants from all sectors of the Community.
