As the Associate Director, Transformation Programs, you will lead a strong team of transformation professionals overseeing the development and program enablement for strategic initiatives for the Customer and Channel division.This role will be a 12 month fixed term opportunityYour day in the life of as an Associate Director, Transformational Programs - AI:Lead the delivery of key program outcomes and drive transformation in cross functional and cross-company setting.Act as a lead, organising delivery resource under your supervision to ensure project delivers committed Annual Operating Plan (AOP) objectives and outcomes.Supporting the development of Optus' AI strategy and developing roadmaps for AI products, setting the direction for how we deploy cutting-edge AI-driven systems and technologies at Optus. This will include helping develop new initiatives and managing through Proof of Concepts (POCs) phase through to scale and operational handover.Collaborate with key members of the Senior leadership to manage competing priorities and strive to achieve strategic outcomes.Leading cross-functional collaboration with senior leaders across Digital and AI to drive effectiveness and alignment in business operations for AI.Maintain knowledge of current and emerging issues, plans, and strategies across Optus that may impact initiative scope and deliverables.Supporting backlog management and big room planning to help ensure accuracy and integrity of plans, measurement metrics, initiative prioritisation, and resource allocation.Driving excellence and process improvement in AI tribe operations, including planning; resource, financial, change and risk management; business case development and benefits realisation.Responsible for tracking, reporting and other key information sharing artefacts for the portfolio (e.g. status report, governance forums, steering committee updates, portfolio communications, change requests)Your skills to pay the bills:Broad commercial experience in the fast paced, technologically advanced competitive telco industries, with experience managing the performance of Agile digital or tech teams (e.g. Tribes)Demonstrated success in directly managing large, complex programs or portfolios in a transformational Agile environment usually at different stages of the project lifecycle.Experience in managing a portfolio in a consultancy, Telco, or utilities organisation.Proficient in the use of Jira /Confluence and/or Jira AlignStrong leadership & coaching experience and ability to lead delivery teams in a tribe / Agile environment.Proven track record in successfully managing a delivery team in matrix reporting environment providing coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.Commercially astute with an analytical approach to problem solving.Strong communication skills & ability to adapt communication styles to audiences at all levels of the business.Perks we love at Optus:3 days in the office, 2 days remote - with flexible hours to suit!All Optus employees have access to resources, webinars and support via the 'Parents at Work portal'Own your own growth by accessing an extensive online and facilitator led learning catalogue - even earn a MBA micro-credential via OptusU (University)Connect at work through one of our employee-led volunteer groups: Culture Connect, Elevate Women, Disability Network, Express Yourself (LGBTQIA+), United Veterans and Yarn NetworkVibrant campus life, variety of facilities including restaurants, cafes, gymnasium, GP, and post officeTwo easy travel options to Sydney Campus: Optus bus from Sydney CBD (20min travel time) and Macquarie University Metro Station (every 6-8 minutes); morning and afternoon!Keen to see what it's really like to work at Optus?
