Job Title: Ultrasound Tech RDMS RegisteredLocation: Elmhurst, NYDuties:General Ultrasound Imaging:Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients to obtain images for interpretation by physicians.Conduct general ultrasound exams including abdominal, obstetric, and gynecological imaging.Patient Care:Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring comfort.Assess patient’s condition and document any relevant medical history.Technical Skills:Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images.Apply appropriate settings on the equipment to optimize image quality.Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and completeness.Documentation and Reporting:Document and record patient information, procedures performed, and findings.Collaborate with physicians to review images and provide preliminary diagnostic impressions.Maintenance:Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment as necessary.Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of ultrasound machines and examination rooms.Compliance:Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.Follow professional and facility standards for patient care and imaging procedures.Skills:Experience:At least 1 year of experience in general ultrasound imaging.Technical Skills:Proficient in performing general diagnostic ultrasound exams.Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics and instrumentation.Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to explain procedures and provide patient education.Patient Interaction:Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.Skilled in managing patient concerns and maintaining a calm demeanor.Education:Required:Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.Preferred:Additional certifications or specialized training in ultrasound imaging.Certifications & Licenses:Required:Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).Preferred:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Languages:Required:English (Speak, Read, Write)Minimum Degree Required:Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO)Location:Address: 6300 W Parker Rd, Ste 322 MOB 2, Plano, TX 75093-8103Start Date:July 29, 2024Hours:Hours Per Week: 40.00Hours Per Day: 8.00Days Per Week: 5.00Schedule Notes:Shift: Day ShiftRequirements: Ability to commit to the schedule provided by the facility.NavitsPartners
